Speedometer drive gears are the connection between the speedometer cable and the speedometer, they make sure your speedometer indicates the correct speed.

We named the speedometer drive gears after the vehicle models they were originally built for. Often, a 40-year-old Vespa will have neither the original speedometer, speed cable, nor the speedometer drive gears. To find the right speedometer gear for your model, the important details are the number of teeth and the size of the four-point cable of the speedometer gear, 1.9 mm or 2.7 mm.

It is recommended that you check the size of the existing speedometer cable four-prong cable and the number of teeth on the speedometer disc gear before placing your order.

SIP -TIP: When installing the speedometer gear, turn your drum brake slowly, otherwise the drive gear will be flattened by the Speedo unit.
