The mixer tube, located in the middle of the jet block between the main jet and the main correction jet, is responsible for regulating the mixture in the partial load or half-throttle range (1/4 and 3/4 open throttle). In this setting, it mixes the air in the main correction jet with the fuel from the main jet. The different mixer tubes that are fitted as standard to Largeframe models are interchangeable. This means that you can alleviate excessively lean partial load pinking by choosing a richer mixer tube. The better the main jet, the main mixer tube, and the correction jet are matched to each other, the more perfectly the engine runs. The same applies to the main correction jet on the mixer tube: the higher the number indicated, the leaner the mixer tube. This means BE1 is very rich, but BE6 is very lean.
