SIP folding ignition lever Grey / Black For Vespa PX 80 - 200 / Cosa

Kick-starting your Vespa engine can be an exhausting and sometimes painful experience, especially when you have a performance cylinder fitted or your leg muscles are not exactly 'Tour de France' standard! If your engine is not fitted with an electric starter or you simply do not want to fit one, you may remember the good, old BUZZETTI folding kick-starter of the past. We here at SIP have even been visited by such dreams, but all our hopes of a revival of these production items were dashed when we were informed by the folks at BUZZETTI that original castings used in their manufacture were destroyed years ago! We saw this as a reason to take care of ourselves...

With the obvious benefits of this 1980's classic component in mind, we decided to slightly redesign it with some added features. The shape and positioning of the lever has been re-evaluated with its extreme sporty attitude being inspired by the appearance of the BUZZETTI entry. The forged aluminum body is now available with a powder coated surface finish in red or black, or even a combination of polished aluminum and red. The kickstart lever itself is produced from a cast steel material and can be fitted with the original size PIAGGIO kickstart rubbers. When the kickstart lever is not in use it can be folded up 90, safely out of harm's way. The serrations located on the inside surface of the mounting hole match those found on the kickstart shaft originally found on the Vespa PX and Cosa engines.

Bottom Line: The extended overall length of this foldable kickstarter provides enough extra leverage to kickstart engines with higher compression ratios involved with performance cylinders.
