Racing exhaust with a standard look. The MK 3.0 version of our slim SIP ROAD EXHAUST pushes the limits of performance once again.

The SIP ROAD was and is the benchmark for all boxed pipes. It introduced the concept of a racing pipe that retains the boxed look of the original Piaggio Largeframe article to a wider audience. And made it as popular as it rightly is today. Among its most attractive features are excellent rideability and easy tuneability, especially on engines already running SIP ROAD 2.0. In recent years many have tried their hand at an exhaust inspired by the original, quite a few have even launched their own version. Engines with this concept have achieved impressive levels of power and torque, and some have even beaten the godfather, our SIP Road 2.0 box in terms of absolute performance. Ease of use and launch torque still need to be improved.

However, it was time to go one better and develop a new box. The benchmark was there and the requirements were set: it should still work on any type of engine. It should run at low, real-world usable revs, it should beat the best in that range and it should still keep the original box dimensions. The new SIP Road 3.0 should remain slim and compact. The latter in particular proved to be a real challenge. Others use larger boxes to find performance, which of course makes life a lot easier. Unfortunately squaring the circle takes time, so development took a while. The result is worth the wait though. A small box that works well with a wide range of engine configurations while still retaining the best in terms of performance.

Affordable performance in any situation

Gets into the powerband early to make the ride to work as enjoyable as tackling an uphill Alpine pass. Our reference for development where kits like the Malossi Sport or Polini. But the Quattrini or Pinasco kits work very well with SIP Road 3.0. It is fantastic combined with a SI carburetor, little effort to adapt with proven reliability.

Modern production and design

To reach the performance level of the SIP Road 3.0, not only did the development take its time. The production is also a bit more demanding. The downpipe is not made of segments. It is a cold-drawn design with an upper and lower half. This helps to minimize the tolerances between the individual pipes and there are fewer weld seams perpendicular to the direction of the gas flow. On top of that, this technique also allowed the downpipe to be routed into tighter curves without any negative effects. This was necessary to ensure that the larger downpipe did not collide with other parts, such as the main stand.

New quality with proven advantages

Significantly more torque and enormously more power. With a Malossi Sport on a P-Range the power difference compared to the SIP Road 2.0 can be up to two BHP. This is also the case with the classic small block setup. The A 177 Polini also achieved an increase of approx. 2 HP with the Road 3.0 compared to its predecessor. This promises relaxed driving without problems when shifting gears. The sound of the SIP ROAD is well understated without attracting unwanted attention, making it ideal for cities and everyday riding. Don't forget to adjust the jetting and ignition.

Conclusion: The SIP ROAD 3.0 is an excellent upgrade of a classic exhaust. All the great features of the MK 2.0, the fit, the quality and precision of the manufacturing, are retained while the power increases slightly by about 2 BHP. A racing pipe that looks like the original box exhaust. More torque and more power, heat resistant paint, great value for money.
