The SIP Performance 125cc features a modern overflow system layout. This allows for significantly improved performance compared to the original 125cc cylinder on Vespa Smallframe models.

The 125cc class enjoys continued popularity. It provides an introduction to motorized two-wheeled transportation. Depending on country-specific regulations, 125cc two-wheelers can often be driven without a motorcycle license. Sometimes a car license, special driving licenses from age 16, or inexpensive additional driving licenses are sufficient.

With SIP Performance 125cc, engines can be built to meet these driving license regulations while still offering adequate performance. Original Vespa smallframe engines produce just 5.6 hp and a top speed of 85 km/h. The SIP Performance 125cc engine achieves this goal. The SIP Performance 125 achieves power on par with the 133cc-136cc gray cast iron tuning cylinders that have been widely used since the 1990s.
