In a very short time, the SIP ROAD has developed into the most sought-after touring exhaust system of all. It is also fitted to most SIP long-distance Vespas.

The power of five segments! 5 more pipe segments add to this top-of-the-line exhaust!

Noticeable increase in torque and a significant performance advantage. With an original PX200 cylinder, it already has 1.8 hp. This promises riding comfort and ideal gear shifting. The sound is pleasantly subdued. Ideal for everyday city riders. The chrome version is noisier as this exhaust system comes without insulation. Unfortunately, insulating these exhausts is not possible as the insulation fibers could contaminate the chrome bath and soak. On the plus side, you'll be rewarded with a classy chrome look.

Tours and longer distances are no problem. The expensive production shines not only with multiple segments, but also with extra-precise welding, clearly drawn welds, and reinforced bolting for the cylinder manifold. The exhaust is produced in its factory form and is not cut or welded around later. The chrome version has a louder/tinnyer sound, but this is offset by a classy custom look.

Conclusion: All in all, a racing exhaust with an original look and perfect fit, high-quality and finely crafted. A plus in torque and performance, heat-resistant paint.

The SIP ROAD 2.0: Wow! Who would have thought it was possible? Our exhaust guru, David, took on the SIP Road project and made the almost unthinkable a reality. He managed to improve on the almost perfect version of our extremely popular exhaust unit. The SIP Road 2.0 now also has the elegant feature of being able to be secured not only with a traditional exhaust clamp, but also with a spring-loaded fastening system to avoid damaging the more delicate tailpipes of racing cylinders. The pipe's potential power output has been significantly increased across the entire rpm range, with the version produced for 125cc cylinders also providing a welcome boost at the top end of the powerband. The exhaust intended for the 200cc cylinder class produces 2 hp more power between 4500 and 6000 rpm than its predecessor. While the original SIP Road already had an adequate amount of front wheel weight reduction, we were able to improve and increase the available torque, resulting in greater flexibility in low- to mid-range performance.

"The performance, sound, and paint are fantastic. The dreaded shifting between third and fourth gear is no longer a problem, and the revs are noticeably higher. The 200cc version gives an otherwise standard PX 200 13.9 hp!!! (Standard exhaust: 12.5 hp! Respect where it's due! The narrowed 200cc cylinder with 10 hp puts out 10.8 hp with a standard pipe and 11.9 hp when equipped with the SIP Road... If the carb is reset correctly, it's easy to get a couple more horsepower."

From the box pipes we have a clear winner for the standard engine. The SIP Road 2.0 not only increases peak power by 18% over the standard pipe, but at 60 mph it increases power by 350%, resulting in a higher top speed. For under 120 pounds it's a no-brainer if you want a standard-looking pipe but with more power."

SIP Road 2 exhaust: Besides being a sort of testbed (like most of my scooters!), I also want the PX200 to be reliable. For this reason, tuning was strictly forbidden. That is, until the old stock exhaust pipe rotted and needed replacing. Unfortunately, at the time, it seemed that Piaggio was no longer capable of producing a truly suitable basic item, and after discarding three OEM replacement parts, I opted for the stock SIP Road 2 pipe. Friends had recommended it to me, and they were right: with a sound that's just a little deeper than a standard pipe, it offers more punch and fits like a glove. I'm still impressed.
