An increase in pulse leads to more displacement, which in turn translates into more horsepower. This is the reason why most engines, both racing and street, with a displacement of 200cc, prefer crankshafts with longer stroke times. To compensate for this increase in stroke, spacers are used, installed both at the base of the cylinder and at the head. This also provides an easy opportunity to adjust the timing.
With longer stroke times, the crank pin is further away from the axle case. For example, with 60 mm shafts, this distance is 1.5 mm. This additional 1.5 millimeters pushes the piston past top and bottom dead center. To prevent the piston from touching the cylinder head, you can install spacers at the base of the cylinder or at the head, or use suitable cylinder heads such as those from SIP / MMW. In any case, adjustments to the timing are necessary. Depending on the type of racing cylinder, several favorite combinations have been identified that we have compiled for you in our technical department.
MAZZUCCHELLI long stroke crankshafts feature a more pronounced intake timing, similar to racing crankshafts. The connecting rod is supplied with a polished connecting rod, and the lower connecting rod bearing is a silver bearing type.
In conclusion, these long stroke crankshafts are a perfect basis for powerful engines, both touring with high torque and extreme performance with high power. For those who want even more, we recommend opting for crankshafts with long stroke.

**Suggestions :**
- Use SIP /MMW long stroke cylinder heads with the MALOSSI 210cc.
- Install 1.5mm base gaskets.
- Consider using SIP Performance/RZ/DSE, MALOSSI or POLINI exhausts.
- Try different base/head gasket combinations to find the one that best suits your needs.

Please note that angle degrees are approximate as crankshafts are hand finished.
