This box-section swingarm in aluminum alloy is the result of a design aimed at improving the dynamic performance of our motorcycles.
Technical Features:
Crafted from a combination of billet and sheet metal components, this swingarm optimizes the weight-to-strength ratio. Its box-section design and specifically positioned joints ensure greater torsional and flexural rigidity, improving stability and cornering precision.
A fundamental objective during the design and construction phase was to reduce weight, thus contributing to a significant reduction in unsprung masses.
Dynamic Benefits
The reduction in unsprung mass on the rear axle, combined with a strategic shift of the center of gravity toward the pivot, reduces the swingarm's inertia. This translates into less resistance to vertical movement, allowing the tire to react more quickly to irregularities in the asphalt and maintain optimal contact with the surface. The end result is superior grip, improved traction, and more effective management of track bumps, offering the rider a more precise and confident riding experience.
Furthermore, the lateral flexibility at maximum lean has been finely calibrated and we have found an ideal compromise for the average weight of the riders who use our PitBike, ensuring optimal response when cornering which ensures a more direct response to the rider's commands and which significantly improves the reactivity and sensitivity of the bike.
