In addition to the standard SIP tubeless rim, we offer the sporty MY anniversary rim. The "MY" designation refers to the last Vespas built in the PX series, some of which have >Millennium< in their name. These Millennium PXs are typically equipped with the 5-star brake drum on the front axle, to which our new MY tubeless rim with its 5 recesses fits particularly harmoniously.

The new, elegant design with symmetrical tire bed sides looks harmonious and perfectly matches the brake drum of the PX'98/MY/LML Star Vespa models. The new design also fits very well with all other Vespas with 10-inch rims and 5-bolt wheel mounting. The standard width of 2.10 inches makes them compatible with almost all models from about 1962 onwards. Here too, the five cutouts create a sporty, slim, and open shape; the imaginative brake components such as the brake disc, brake caliper, and shock absorber are particularly visible.

The SIP MY rim is based on the 2.0 generation of SIP tubeless rims:

The rim impresses with improved handling and greater agility. The 90% CNC-machined surface virtually eliminates concentricity and imbalance and ensures absolutely vibration-free operation even at the highest speeds.

Naturally, MY rims also meet the highest SIP safety standards. The ETRTO-like tire bed and double-bump technology reliably prevent sudden tire slippage in the event of a loss of pressure. The mounting space is designed and optimized to be as wide as possible.

In addition to the low weight and slim design, all the advantages of SIP tubeless rims remain:

No sudden air leaks thanks to the state-of-the-art double-bump technology. It can be driven even with low tire pressure.

No more inner tubes that can get pinched during assembly and potentially leak during operation.

An enlarged mounting compartment makes tire mounting even easier and more comfortable.

The SIP MY and ABE edge

SIP has also passed all the necessary tests with this wheel and obtained general type approval (ABE) from the German Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA). The ABE is valid for using the MY wheel as a front wheel; if you want to be on the safe side, you can combine the standard 8106 wheel without cutouts on the rear axle.

Note on tire mounting: Many tubed (TT) tires can also be used as tubeless (TL) tires. Check the clearance to adjacent parts before using the tire. Have the tires mounted by a professional. Avoid damaging the tires. Use only the supplied tire mounting paste. Do not use oil, silicone, soap, or other lubricants! Use only Nord-Lock NLX8 washers and tighten them to the specified torque (25-28 Nm).
