SIP performance shock absorbers for all Vespa models with a separate spring and damper suspension. CNC-machined, anodized aluminum.
One of the main goals in designing the SIP performance shock absorber was to provide optimal damping during the rebound phase. Rebound damping ensures a clean and even shock absorber at a controllable speed. This allows the front end of the scooter to recover smoothly, for example during braking, and remain controllable without acting like a pogo stick!
Installation instructions: When the spring is too weak, it creates an ineffective angle with the suspension. A stiffer spring is therefore necessary.
When converting from 8" to 10" wheels, the following must be considered: The shock absorber mounting point on the steering column is significantly low. Additionally, the fender tends to be undersized for a 10" wheel. This makes contact between the two inevitable during braking.
