The SIP Tachometer/Rev Counter replaces the minimally equipped original speedometer assembly with a state-of-the-art multifunctional instrument. This speedometer has an impressively large analog display for either the scooter's speed (up to 160 mph/kph) or the engine speed (up to 10,000 rpm). This means the speedometer needle can be programmed to display either your revs or your current speed.

The digital display, located in the lower half of the speedometer face, can be used to monitor 18 different functions, which are scrolled through using a separately positioned mode button. In addition to the standard analog/digital vehicle and engine speed measurements, this speedometer also features a trip/total mileage function, engine and ambient temperature, an acceleration sensor for distance and speed measurement, average speed, and many other innovative features (see feature list below).

The backlight color can be set to one of eight different colors, and the brightness is adjustable. During each power-up sequence, the speedometer performs an automatic diagnostic check. The scooter's road speed can be determined using the original speedometer unit or a digital sensor, which is available separately.

A complete wiring harness adapter is included in the kit. This makes it easy to install, with no soldering required!

Assembly instructions:

For Vespa GT/GTL 125-200ccm/GTS 125: If you decide not to fit the separately available digital speed sensor system (# KOBF640J06), the original speedometer unit from later GTS models (# PI56306R) must be used.

For Vespa GTS/GTS Super 125-300cc, post 2014: The rear steering assembly cover (# PI1652682) from previous GTS models must be included. The position of the switch assembly for the lights/horn, etc. can be retained, with the mode button being the only exception. An 'ABS' indicator light is also integrated into this SIP speedometer/tachometer unit.
