Economical carburetor, perfect for street use or low-cost tuning
DELL'ORTO PHB carburetors are a good choice for those who want to improve an engine without spending too much.
They are drum-type (round guillotine) and available in 24 to 30 mm versions. Ideal for mid-range tuning projects.
They're not always readily available, but there's a cheaper alternative: YSN carburetors. The design is almost identical to that of the PHB, and many components are compatible. The only real difference is the guillotine centering pin, which must be adapted if using DELL'ORTO parts on a YSN body.
Compared to SI or SHB models, PHBs are more complex but offer more adjustment options, thanks to the wide range of needles, jets, and mixing tubes available. However, it takes a bit of experience to properly adjust them before road use.
They come standard with an opening bellows, but it can be replaced with a cable control
In short: excellent value for money. Ideal for those looking to improve performance on a budget.
