Smallframes are among the most popular Vespa models. Because they are naturally slow, they are often tuned. The basis of any tuning is the engine case, and like many other components, smallframe crankcases and complete engines have become rare and expensive. For this reason, we decided to produce a new and revised SIP smallframe crankcase.

The basis for this is a PK case. All internal components are taken from the PK models and specifically designed for them. The transfer ports match the originals, but have been enlarged at the front and rear of the case, and the case has been strengthened. All options offer more material and additional reinforcing ribs/braces, along with increased stability. The cylinder seal surface is extended on both halves of the case for maximum sealing surface area with revised transfer ports/cylinders. The intake has significantly more material at all levels and the 3-hole mounting.

The flywheel side has been modified with a cable guide and additional reinforcements, and the lower case screw connection has been externally compensated for crankshafts with a larger crank diameter/stroke. The intake valve rotation timing matches the PK125 ETS and also works very well on 50cc cylinders. The rotary valve sealing surface is larger, thus offering the possibility of extending/changing the intake timing. The gear axis (arm) is positioned in a swappable bushing. The primary bearing unit has a 57.5mm seat to be able to use all transmission primary repair kits. Internally, the crankcase also has additional reinforcing ribs/braces for greater stability, and the swingarm has been designed for the use of 3.00 and 3.50x10.

Bottom line: Your smallframe is no longer at risk of dying from engine damage. And it's a great value!
