SIP crankcase for Vespa 50-125 ET3 PK50-125 24310000

Smallframe Vespas are among the most popular Vespa models. Because they are naturally slow, they are often upgraded.
The basis of any tune-up is the engine case and like many other components, smallframe crankcases and complete engines have become rare and expensive.
For this reason Sip has decided to produce a new and revised smallframe crankcase

The basis for this is a PK crankcase. All internal components are taken from the PK models and specifically designed for them.
The transfer ports are like the originals, but have been widened at the front and rear of the crankcase and have also been reinforced.
All Sip crankcases have more material and reinforcing ribs, which together give greater stability to the crankcase.
The cylinder block gasket surface is extended on both sides to increase the sealing surface and allow for the installation of cylinders with large transfer ports. The rotary valve duct has more material to file if a reed valve manifold is to be installed.

The crank chamber on the flywheel side is bored to accommodate shafts with a full shoulder.
The intake valve timing matches that of the original PK125 ETS crankcases and works very well even on 50cc cylinders.
The sealing surface of the rotary valve is larger and therefore offers the possibility of extending/modifying the intake valve timing.
The gear selector shaft is provided with a bushing that can be changed if worn.
Internally the crankcase has additional reinforcement ribs/braces for greater stability and the swingarm has been designed to use 3.00x10 and 3.50x10.
