VMC Sound-Absorbing Material for Expansion Mufflers

For silencers with length 240 / 250 mm and silencer tube outer diameter 60 / 70 mm

VMC has developed, in collaboration with a German company that produces high-quality sound-absorbing materials, an innovative system for inserting sound-absorbing material into mufflers.

The system is made with a special material bag with double-sided tape on one flap and must be wrapped around the perforated sheet metal of the silencer to facilitate subsequent insertion into the silencer pipe.

The internal part of the bag containing the sound-absorbing material is designed to be burned and expelled from the muffler with the first uses of the engine, thus allowing the sound waves to expand in the sound-absorbing material.

The sound-absorbing material is heat resistant up to 750°C
