SIP speed sensor for SIP rev counter/speedometer Vespa 50 - 125 - ET3 - PK 50 50000250
The space behind the round headlight on the Vespa V 50 models is very limited. To accommodate the necessary electronics, we've developed an alternative to the original OE speedometer drive system for this particular version of our SIP speedometer/tachometer. The fragile standard cable is simply replaced with our new speed sensor system.
The speed sensor is easily positioned along the steering column in place of the original speedometer unit and receives its signal from the speedometer gear located on the front axle. The waterproof cable is connected to the sensor and must be routed through the steering column and then connected to the speedometer.
The advantages of the new system are a more accurate measurement of real speed and the definitive elimination of the frequent breakage problems of traditional speedometer cables!
