Description
The SIP Performance shock absorber offers a series of advanced features that make it ideal for modern engines and performance setups. Adjustable spring preload, a progressive spring rate, and 20-level rebound adjustment allow for precise calibration of suspension response in any riding condition.
From a technical standpoint, the shock absorber uses a 12.5 mm (Version 1.0) or 14 mm (Version 2.0) shaft, combined with an upper guide plate that increases the stability of the suspension assembly. The CNC-machined aluminum structure guarantees strength, precision, and optimal protection against wear and corrosion. The unit is also gas-filled (nitrogen) for consistent performance even under intensive use.
Spring preload
Preload adjustment allows you to increase the spring's initial resistance. The system uses two anti-loosening spring rings and includes an adjustment tool.
Progressive spring
The progressive coilovers ensure a smooth response on small irregularities and greater stiffness with higher loads, ideal for riding with a passenger or luggage.
Extension adjustment
The rebound adjustment allows you to adapt the behavior on bumps, rough roads, and heavy braking. There are 20 positions: turning clockwise increases the hydraulic damping, counterclockwise decreases it.
Technical note
On models equipped with Grimeca disc brakes, a small modification to the shock absorber mount may be necessary. The dimensional differences in the original plastic covering may require a small adjustment, which is simple and can be done independently.
